I build mostly audio circuitry. If anyone would like to build a Altoid tin amplifier, can microphone, or contact mic I could host a project meetup.
These are simple projects that do not take much time and the attendees will have something they built to take home with them after the meetup.

I have done such things... would be happy to do again. We can use an LM386 audio amplifier chip from Radio Shack and some perforated prototyping boards.
All in all, it should cost around $10-$15 each with a speaker. I will be happy to source parts and send everyone links of what to buy (the most cost-effective solution).
Also, we can assemble at my place if needed... I have a few soldering irons.

JD, want to work together on this one?
I have some ideas for improvements over the basic amplifier design that would make them more functional over a broader base of inputs.
